I love a good road trip so I jumped at the chance to head to Holt and the surrounding area with Rose from The Pleasure Forecast last week. We planned the day very loosely and it began with lunch at Back to the Garden just outside Holt. I used to work near this lovely little farm shop and cafe so it was great to pop back for some delicious food.
My pulled pork sandwich.
Butternut squash quiche
Open mushroom pie
Fish and chips
Susan Gillian-Brown in Holt
Rose and I got to try on some beautiful British-made dresses.
We then headed to François Bouttier. This shop is full of designer fashion, I may have bought the Cavalli dress on the left. I can’t really resist something that’s been reduced from £795 to £100.
Across the road from François Bouttier is Hoppers Yard. Walk past a few lovely little shops and you get to Folly Tearoom.
Rose, blogging on the go.
At Folly Tearoom I had a strawberry and pepper tea. It was so incredibly delicious. I wish we’d had more time to sit and relax there before heading back to the car.
We took a little detour via High Kelling, we walked in the woods, took some photos and admired the beauty of the Norfolk countryside.
We then went to The Grove in Cromer. We’ve reviewed this amazing restaurant and hotel before. You can read the full review here.
All in all it was a beautiful day
