At the end of the summer I was invited along to Oxnead Hall by Paston Heritage Society to have a look around the gardens of the beautiful Oxnead Hall, near Buxton. There’s a wealth of history surrounding the house and Norfolk’s famous Paston family. If you’re intrigued to know more, please visit the Paston Heritage Society website and consider signing up for a membership which is just £15 a year.

I’ve written about Oxnead before as part of a geocaching post. I was intrigued by the little leaning tower across the lake and wanted to know more about the beautiful hall on the hill. It’s taken a few years but it was nice to have this very special opportunity to take a look around.

The whole event started with a guided walk along Paston Way by Norfolk Trails. I took the 3.5 mile circular route around Southrepps. It’s the kind of route you can take your family on during a lazy Sunday afternoon. Find out more about Paston Way here.

For now, I’ll leave you with some photos.
