On 23rd May Jet Social is holding a networking event with a difference. CSR Speed Dating will take place at Beluga in Norwich and will match businesses and charities together in order to help them build mutually beneficial relationships.

Following the traditional speed dating format, businesses will get the chance to sit down with local charities to find ways in which they can work together.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is something every business should think about but sometimes a CSR strategy can seem a little daunting, especially to a small business. Jess Shanahan, Director of Jet Social says: “We’re trying to make it easy for businesses to discover and partner with local charities.

“It’s not about finding businesses to donate money directly to a charity (although that could be one outcome). It’s more about creating relationships that last. This might be regular donations, offering staff’s time or providing discounted prices on products or services.”

The event will take place at Beluga Bar & Eaterie in Norwich at 6pm on the 23rd of May. Registration costs £10 and all profits from the event will go to a randomly drawn charity from those that attend on the night. Attendees will also have the pleasure of hearing a short talk from James Kearns of BUILD Charity on how businesses and charities can work together.
