So many cities have their own cocktail week and with a recent surge in lovely bars across our city, it makes sense that we should have a cocktail week of our own.
Norwich is following suit with a week-long celebration of cocktail culture from the 4th October 2014. It’s being organised by the team behind local events site Vintage Norwich, who have previously organised events like the 1930s themed Marvellous Cocktail Parties and last year’s stellar Vintage Norwich Awards as part of Norwich Fashion Week.
Talks are going on every day with bars across the city to get involved but there are already some great places on board: 42 King Street, Norwich Cocktail Club, The Birdcage, The Plasterers Arms, The X Bells and more.
I’m quite excited about this. I love cocktails but often find myself going back to the same places. This will be a great chance for all of us to discover new places to have a drink – with, of course, a nice discount to go with it.
You’ll need to buy your wrist bands ahead of time as this whole thing is being funded via Indiegogo. A wristband is just £8 and will get you access to all the deals, discounts and signature cocktails that are being offered during the whole week!
There’s also the opportunity to buy a ticket to the launch party with your wristband. This is £15 and will save you £3 compared to buying a party ticket and wristband separately.
Get on board now so you can say you were a part of Norwich’s first ever cocktail week. I’m excited.
