I’m a big motor racing fan (in fact I’m a week back from the Belgian Grand Prix!) so the chance to go to Snetterton to see the British Touring Car Championship was amazing. I’m going to use this post to talk a little about the circuit and what they have to offer as well as my BTCC experience.
The circuit offers some big race days as well as track experiences and the famous Snetterton Market. It’s changed over the last few years and I’m sure there are a lot of mixed opinions about that but as I never visited the track in its previous state I can’t really comment.
To watch the BTCC we sat on the raised bank near the Agostini corner. We have a good view of a couple of corners and could watch the cars head down a straight and under the bridge into the Bomb Hole.
For more on the track, layout and what the circuit has to offer take a look at the Snetterton website.
During the day there was a short period where the pits were open to fans and the drivers popped out to sign some autographs. No matter what sort of race you are at, if you get the chance to walk the track or go in the pits then do it!
The Touring Cars weren’t the only cars going round the track there was also the Clio Cup (in which Lewis Hamilton’s brother Nick races), Formula Renault and loads more!
