Another gem in the Norfolk countryside is Snettisham Park. A working farm set in over 300 acres of land in the west of the county. It’s a fantastic day out for all ages.
Visitors get the chance to take part in farming activities such as collecting eggs and feeding the goats. There are also three different trails to explore as well as a new visitor centre with tea rooms where you can refresh yourselves. You can even book in for an evening deer safari followed by a BBQ on Wednesday evenings then watch the sun set from the terrace.
I love the sound of the Farming Trail which is, apparently, a perfect energy burner for the kids – just what you need during the holidays! There’s nothing like nature to really get the children involved.
Snettisham Park is open throughout the summer from 10am – 5pm.
Snettisham also hosts a number of migatory bird events throughout the year. Jess covered the Snettisham wader spectacular.
