Last week my family and I had an amazing day out at Pleasurewood Hills near Lowestoft. The theme park has kindly offered to give away a family ticket to one lucky winner. It’s easy to enter, take a look at the Rafflecopter widget below. You can earn entries for liking Love Norfolk on Facebook, following us on Twitter, following Pleasurewood Hills and commenting on a Love Norfolk blog post.
The competition has now ended.
Now, a bit more about my great day out at the park…
Now, I’m pretty good with roller coasters and thrill rides but one thing I can’t deal with is the anticipation of a drop. There used to be a ride like this at Pleasurewood Hills a number of years ago but it wasn’t there last time I visited. Enter the Jolly Roger. I decided, in the name of journalism, to video the ride instead of go on it myself.
The fearsome Wipeout. A great ride but not for the faint hearted.
The wonderful Enigma, which is up there as on of my favourite rides at the park. It’s bone-jarring runaway train ride that is a great introduction to roller coasters for those unsure about what level of thrill they can handle. If it looks a bit much for you, can I recommend the Snake in the Grass ride. It’s a bit of a squash for anyone over the height of about 5’2″ but it’s awesome. One of Pleasurewood Hills’ classics.
There are plenty of places to eat at the park but we opted to take our own picnic as there were quite a few of us.
You can get a little bit of money off ticket prices if you buy online. Adult prices start from £18 with children (3-11) starting at £15. Children under 1 metre get in free.
